NewJeans has hit No. 1 on Billboard's main albums chart Billboard 200 a year after its debut.

Billboard on Aug. 2 released its latest chart for July 30 to Aug. 5 that said the quintet's second EP "Get Up" topped the Billboard 200.

With its first entry in the chart, NewJeans is the second K-pop girl group to top it after BLACKPINK.

Billboard said "Get Up" earned 126,500 equivalent album units in the U.S. on the week of July 21-27. "The Korean quintet brings a second all-female group to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in less than a year, following BLACKPINK's Born Pink last September. They are the only two albums by all-female groups to reach No. 1 in the last 15 years," it added.

In addition, all three of NewJeans' title tracks made Billboard's main singles chart Hot 100: "Super Shy" at 48th, "ETA" 81st and "Cool With You" 93rd.

NewJeans is also the first K-pop girl group to have three or more songs on the Hot 100 and the second overall after BTS.
